Established in 1935, Palthope Farm is situated in Coorg, Karnataka, surrounded by the Nagarhole Wildlife Sanctuary, and specializes in shade-grown canephoras. The principal varieties grown are Old Paradenia and CXR, which are processed dry (natural) or wet. Deepak Chengappa also produces small volumes of s 795 with fine berry tones and sweet, fruity liberica. The coffee plants grow in the shadow of more than 93 different shade plants. The farm also produces pepper, betel nut, nutmeg and sapote.
